Residential Group Home chartered and approved by the Office of Children and Family Services to service male students ages 9 to 21 years old. We seek students who are experiencing emotional and behavioral difficulties which are impeding their success in society and in their home life. Martin De Porres Residence is a resource for New York City school districts seeking a more specialized, integrated, and comprehensive program with concentrated services in education, residential, family and community support services for male students who are in need of a more structured, supervised and disciplined environment. The Residence houses seven males, all year round. The program is designed so students are housed on site; with the residence occupying separate rooms in the house.
The residential staff members are all highly trained in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), a nationally accredited program certified by Cornell University. This training provides students with care takers who have the skills that allow them to intervene and offer counseling to insure students deal with issues that may arise in a safe and mature manner.
